Construction of the world's first moving building, a 80-storey tower with revolving floors which give it an ever-shifting shape, is due to begin. The Dynamic Tower, which will be built in Dubai, will feature 80 pre-fabricated apartments, spinning independently of one another.

"It's the first building that rotates, moves, and changes shape," said David Fisher, the tower's architect.

AAI selects bidders for Amritsar, Udaipur airports upgradation

Burj Dubai has become the world's tallest man-made structure after surpassing the height of the KVLY-TV mast in the United States, the tower's developer Emaar announced yesterday.

Burj Dubai is now 629 metres (2,063.6ft) high while KVLY-TV, in Dakota, which held the record for the world's tallest supported structure since 1963, has a height of 628.8 metres (2,063ft).

Builders to suspend work

Builders and contractors in Thripunithura decided to suspend work from Thursday in protest against the demand by construction workers for a hike in wages and the ongoing strike by a section of workers.
