Death threats to Mammootty

Police security has been provided to Mammootty and his family after receiving death threats from some extremist groups. The actor's house at Ernakulam's Hi-line City Park now has special police protection because they are convinced that his life is under threat from the terrorist groups.

There are rumors that the death threats and trouble follow his participation in the DYFI rally and meetings that were held in Chennai recently. Meanwhile, allegations have surfaced that the actor had encroached government lands in Ernakulam and Munnar and had built houses on those properties. But the actor addressing a press said that he doesn't have even a piece of illegally acquired land in Kerala.
