Malayalam actors Prithviraj and Padmapriya, for the first time team up in Tamil film Satham Podathey, a romantic thriller by director Vasanth. Though they are from the Malluwood, it is it is for the first time both are acting together.

Vasanth has given many hits like Keladi Kanmani, Nee Pathi Naan Pathi, Aasai, Ey Nee Romba Azhakayirikkku, Rhythm and Poovellam Kettupaar.

The shooting of the film is taking place in Chennai, Thanjavoor and some places of Kochi too.

Prithviraj, who entered the Kollywood via Kanakandein as a villain, became a hero in Parijatham and Mozhi, plays an engineer in this film. His film Mozhi with Jyothika was selected fro the Cannes Film Festival.

Padmapriya plays Bhanumati, a normal girl in the film. The film is produced by C Shankar and R S Senthil Kumar under the banner of Kaivalya. Yuvan Shankar Raja composes music for the songs penned by N Muthu Kumar.

The film also has Nithin Sathya and T Raghav.
