Special officer to tackle health situation

The state government has appointed State Mission Director, National Rural Health Mission, Dinesh Arora as the special officer to tackle the crisis situation in the five districts, which are facing rapid increase in the number of fever cases.
Speaking to newsmen here yesterday, Health Minister P K Sreemathi said that the government has sanctioned an additional Rs 10 lakh for the Pathanamthitta district, which has recorded the maximum number of fever cases. The government had earlier given Rs 10 lakh to the district authorities for ensuring more facilities at the district hospital.
