Tariff hike: KSEB finalises formula
The full board meeting of KSEB held here on Friday finalised a formula to circumvent the annual loss of Rs 1.46 billion, without going in for a tariff hike to domestic consumers. The formula evolved as a reply to the Kerala State Electricity Regulatory Commission suggests a surcharge of Rs 1 per unit for high tension power consumers.
It also recommends a hike in the surcharge on large-scale commercial establishments from the existing Rs 3.25 to Rs 4 and hike in Railways traction from Rs 2.25 to Rs 3. 20. It also recommended to regroup agencies like Kinfra and Cochin Shipyard.
