A comprehensive directory on saint-reformer Sree Narayana Guru and organisations committed to spreading his message of "one caste, one religion and one God for men" is to be brought out by leading Malayalam daily 'Kerala Kaumudi' next week.

Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan will release the 1500-page multi-colour reference book by handing over a copy to Union Minister for Overseas Indian Affairs, Vayalar Ravi, here on June 11.

The first such work on the Guru and his mission, the directory contains information on the Sree Narayana organisations in India and abroad including Europe, America, the Gulf and East Asia, Kerala Kaumudi Managing Editor Deepu Ravi and Executive Editor B C Jojo told a press meet here today.

The work also has a biography on the Guru and an overview of Kerala before and after the Guru, who lived in the early 20th century and worked for the social, cultural, spiritual and economic uplift of the depressed sections of society.

It also contains detailed accounts of the Guru's philosophy, his works, his disciples and contemporaries and rare pictures of the time.

Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana Yogam (SNDP) general secretary Vallappally Natesan and Kerala Kaumudi Managing Director M S Sreenivasan would also attend the release function.
