Geroge Fernandes said that when he was travelling with his collegue Mr.Madhu Limeya to a meeting a meeting in Delhi Ramliya Maidan . Suddenly Limeya asked Fernandes that " Gerge, what will you do if the government imposes an emergency tonight" .THAT NIGHT Indira gandhi turned Limeyas intutuion into TRUTH. the next day president Fakrudin ali Ahmed signed the Proclamation of emergency. The midnight knocks on oppsition leaders doors started and by morning most of the leadders were behind the bars.The days that followed were the darkest for INDIAN DEMOCRACY.
