Mayabazaar directed by debutant Thomas Sebastian with action, comedy, songs and sentiments was shot in Pollachi and Kochi. Mammootty dons the role of a man called Rameshan who buys old cars, dismantles them and sells the parts. Rameshan is the son of Aakri Damodharan (Rajan P Dev) who migrated to Mayabazaar from Cherpulassery.

Akkare Akkare Akkare is a Malayalam comedy movie starring Mohanlal, Sreenivasan. Scripted by Sreenivasan and directed by Priyadarshan, it represents popular Malayalam cinema at its best and established the Mohanlal-Sreenivasan combination as one of its most memorable and bankable cinematic pairs.

Jayaram figures as Devan, an honest agriculture up against the wiles and guiles of a local zamindar. The other Jayaram is a fighting exponent Palani. Of course, the two have female complements in the form of Rambha and Indraja. Not surprisingly, one of them, happens to be the villain zamindars daughter.

No.20 Madras Mail is a Malayalam movie directed by Joshy and featuring Mohanlal, Mammooty, Soman, Jagadeesh and Manianpilla Raju. The story revolves around a train journey. Tony Kurushingal played by Mohanlal along with his friends see Mammootty along the way. They also land up in a murder case. The plot follows their attempts to escape.
