The 'Second National level Munnar Tea Garden Trekking and Backwater Voyage organized by Youth Hostels Association of India, would be held in February.

The Youth Hostels Association of India aims to promote the spirit of adventure, Eco -tourism and national integration among the youth. This five- days programme is organized with the active participation of National Adventure Academy, Kerala Tourism, Department of Forests & Wildlife and Tata Tea Ltd.

A photography competition on the backwaters, wildlife and scenic beauty, camping and trekking will also be held. This is an environment - friendly trekking and the participants are strictly advised not to litter any wrappers or spoil the trail in anyway
