Ajith in Main Hoon Na remake

Ajit's new film to be directed by Raju Sundaram will be a remake of Shah Rukh Khan's Main Hoon Na. The grapevine has it that Ayngaran the producers of the Tamil film have brought the remake rights from SRK's Red Chillies, the producers of the original. The original with SRK and Sushmita Sen was a roller coaster ride of pure unadulterated masala.

In the film, Ajit plays an undercover cop who goes back to the college to protect a top nuclear scientist's daughter who is on kidnapping list of a terrorist and anti-India organization. Studying in the co-ed college is his half- brother with whom he wants to reunite. Ajit enters the college as a student who wants to get a degree but is referred to other students as Mama (Uncle), but the 'dude' that he is, wins over students and the luscious chemistry teacher (Katrina). The film is likely to have a title which will be the hero's name in the film.

The shoot of the film started on February 3) at Theni and later will be shifted to Ooty. It was a family affair where the ritual of tonsuring was performed on the superstar's grandson.
