Two held for molest of UK national
Two persons, including an auto driver, were arrested for allegedly molest of a foreign national at Kozhikode early today. Police said driver Abdul Khader (22) and his companion Anwar Jamwal (21) were arrested for allegedly molesting the 19-year British national near the Kozhikode private bus stand last night.
According to a first information report (FIR) registered with the Kasaba Police Station by the complainant, the native of Kent in England had come from Ooty in Tamil Nadu and boarded a Bangalore bus instead of the one bound to Thiruvananthapuram.
She alighted at Karanthur near here when pointed out by the conductor about the mistake and boarded the auto rickshaw to the town bus stand when she was allegedly molested by the accused, according to the FIR.
The accused would be produced before a magistrate later in the day, police added.
