Kuruvi 2008 Vijay's Super Hit Tamil Movie

Kuruvi, the first home production of Udayanidhi Stalin, Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi's grandson, starring Vijay and Trisha. The term 'Kuruvi', meaning a sparrow, also denotes in Tamil slang a 'carrier' who smuggles goods from abroad for shadowy bosses.

As the title of the movie indicates, its storyline revolves around a youth who lands in Singapore without proper documents and to add to his woes, the police also find that he has smuggled goods in his possession.

The film opens with tycoon Suman and Ashish Vidhyarthi as local MLA at a village in Andhra Pradesh troubling a big group of lay people as their slaves for digging diamonds from the ground illegally. Manivannan is one among them and unable to bear the suffering, he bursts out in anger assuring the baddies that his son will surely get it retaliated. The scene immediately switches over to 20 minutes of visual kind of advertisement for Car racing, where we have the hero Vetrivel (Vijay) winning it and then followed by a title song where he shakes his leg with Malavika.

Vijay’s family being sent out of the home for not giving Rs.50 lac debt made by his father Manivannan to a money lender. After knowing that Vijay’s father is yet to receive Rs.50 lac from Gocha(Suman) Malaysian. Vijay and Vivek plans to fly Malaysia due to financial crisis both of them fly as “Kuruvi” is an agent who carry and bring back goods. After knowing that Gocha is Goon decided to steal the diamond from his home and that time Vijay met Trisha (Gocha’s sister). Trisha got in love with Kuruvi at first sight. After getting Diamond Vijay returns to Chennai and luckily knows where his father is?

Suman and Ashish Vidyarthi were business partners and they have been running the quarry business in which Vijay’s dad was a contractor. Manivannan denied continuing work at Cuddapah Andhra Pradesh after knowing the Diamonds which are found in SouthAfrica is located at the same place. Both the partners make Vijay’s dad and his labors as slaves.
