Guy Maddin (Darcy Fehr) is a young man growing up in Winnipeg under the strict thumb of his mother (Ann Savage). Guy leads a relatively average life that is punctuated by intensely surreal moments, including a nasty fire at a public park to the discovery of a frozen lake filled with horse heads.
