MBA, BSc. cooperation
The College of Cooperation Banking and Management, under the Kerala Agricultural University (KAU), Vellanikkara, Thrissur, has invited applications for admission to an MBA course in agri-business management.
The programme aims at empowering graduates in professional and other disciplines, particularly those from agricultural universities, with critical management and entrepreneurial competencies, enabling them to own or manage agri-business enterprises of global standards.
There are 30 seats. Graduates with minimum 55 per cent marks (50 per cent for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes) are eligible to apply. Those awaiting final results of the degree examinations may also apply.
Application forms and prospectuses can be downloaded from www.kau.edu and www.kaumba.com in PDF format. The downloaded applications should be printed on A4 paper.
The filled applications should be submitted to the Registrar, Kerala Agricultural University, KAU P.O., Thrissur, Kerala - 680 656, along with an application processing fee of Rs. 750 (Rs. 375 for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes), on or before June 18.
The Management Admission Test (KAUMAT) will have 120 marks.
The qualifying degree will be assigned up to 30 marks, group discussion 25 and interview 25.
The admission fee is Rs. 5,000. For each semester, tuition fee is Rs. 25,000; library fee Rs. 1,000; stationary fee Rs. 500; and miscellaneous fee Rs. 6,000.
Degree course
The B.Sc. cooperation and banking Honours degree course is of eight semesters (four years). There are 40 seats.
Students who have passed Plus Two or equivalent examinations in any subject combination with at least 50 per cent marks in aggregate may apply. Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes require pass mark. Those from the Socially and Educationally Backward Castes require 45 per cent marks.
Only natives of Kerala need apply. The candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on December 31. Selection is based on aggregate marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

Filled applications should be submitted along with the fee of Rs. 300 (Rs. 150 for those belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes) to the Registrar, Kerala Agricultural University, KAU P.O., Thrissur, Kerala - 680 656 on or before June 25.
The semester tuition fee is Rs. 968.
The total fee for the first semester is Rs. 1,968 and second semester Rs. 1,453.
