Bhagya Devatha - Satyan Anthicaud's latest movie, in which he teams up with Jayaram after a gap, tells the story of Benny Chacko, who runs a franchisee of a local TV channel in a little village in Kuttanad.

Benny has only one aim in life, and that is to make money. He has been trying all ways possible to make money, for quite some time, but with little success. It's then that his friend and well-wisher Sadanandan advises him to get married.

Sadanandan convinces Benny that getting married could be a perpetual solution to his worries. It could bring him lots of money. Benny thus gets ready to marry Daisy, who is the daughter of a government official. Things however take a rather different turn after the marriage and don't go as planned. What happens as a consequence forms the plot of 'Bhagyadevatha'. While Jayaram becomes Benny, it's Kaniha who plays Daisy. The film, which has been shot extensively in Kuttanad
