Passenger, a malayalam movie directed by debutante Ranjith Shankar, tells a very interesting story, in an interesting manner. The film narrates how two guys, who never had anything to do with one another, come into each other's lives and what all things happen consequently.

Sathyanath, who works in a private company, has some strange habits. His wife, Gayathry, is a teacher. He travels from his native town to Kochi (where he works) by train. The moment the train crosses a bridge he dozes off. And he wakes up at a particular point. Waking up, he gets acquainted with Nandan Menon (Dileep). Nandan Menon, who is an advocate, always stands for truth and justice. He respects the law and always thinks of the welfare of the people around him. He believes that truth alone will triumph everywhere and is always eager to fight against any injustice done to people around him. Nandan Menon's wife, Anuradha, is a television journalist. Nandan Menon (Dileep) is heading to a hotel room where he would be alone for the night, since his wife Anuradha (Mamta Mohandas) is away on an assignment, covering up a news story that has been rocking the state.
