Vadivelu a popular name in Tamil cinema who is also loved by Malayali audiences for his memorable roles, is facing serious allegations from fellow actor Kottachi. The accusations stem from Vadivelu allegedly exploiting his co-stars, with Kottachi claiming that the actor took money intended for the cast and kept it for himself, leaving others with a fraction of the salary.
Kottachi, known for his comic roles in several films with Vadivelu, revealed in a recent interview that Vadivelu would often take the full payment meant for actors and then give only a portion of it to his co-stars. He added that Vadivelu would also prevent others from growing in the industry, treating them like “slaves” and not allowing them to progress in their careers.
In stark contrast, Kottachi praised the late actor Vivek, stating that Vivek would always advocate for his co-stars and demand that producers pay them their dues. Kottachi’s revelations add to the growing list of allegations against Vadivelu, although the actor has yet to respond to the accusations.
The allegations come at a time when Vadivelu had previously made a comeback after facing difficulties in his career due to political involvement and disputes within the Tamil film industry.
