Nazriya Nazim is a multi-talented actress who began her career at a young age. Initially, she was a popular television host and later became a well-known figure in Gulf stage shows. She made her debut in cinema as a child artist and gained attention for her role as Mammootty’s daughter in Palunku (2006), directed by Blessy. Later, she played the lead role in Neram (2013), directed by Alphonse Puthren, which marked the start of her successful career in Tamil and Telugu films.
Nazriya gained immense popularity as a leading actress and, during the peak of her career, married actor Fahadh Faasil. After her marriage, she took a break from films for several years. However, in 2018, she made a strong return to acting with the film Koode, directed by Anjali Menon. Since then, Nazriya has continued to appear in films at regular intervals. She received a Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress for her performances in Om Shanti Oshana and Bangalore Days.
Her latest release, Sookshmatharshini, a crime thriller starring Basil Joseph, has garnered a great response, and she has been actively involved in its promotional activities. Nazriya has also formed a close-knit friendship circle through her films.
A Special Friendship with Dulquer Salmaan
Among her closest friends is Dulquer Salmaan, who is like a brother to Nazriya. Their sibling-like bond is evident on social media, and they often share endearing moments. Nazriya shares a great friendship not only with Dulquer but also with Mammootty’s family. She affectionately calls Dulquer “Bum,” and he, in turn, refers to her as “Kunchi,” a name that translates to “little one” in Malayalam.
Nazriya has expressed that she feels immense joy when Dulquer’s films succeed, just as she does when her own movies succeed. She recalls an incident when Dulquer’s film Sita Ramam was released and its success filled her with happiness. She saw a video of Dulquer leaving the theater, and immediately called him. He was overwhelmed with joy and said, “Kunchi, I can’t believe it!” Their conversations and bond are a reflection of their close relationship.
They have shared screen space together in films like Salala Mobiles, Samsharam (a short film), and Bangalore Days, where their chemistry was loved by fans.
Dulquer’s latest film Lucky Bhaskar was released recently. After the failure of Koththa, Dulquer has not appeared in Malayalam films for a while. Meanwhile, Nazriya’s latest film Sookshmatharshini is receiving positive reviews in theaters.
Overall, the special bond between Dulquer and Nazriya is something that fans absolutely adore. Their friendship is cherished as a pure and genuine connection that goes beyond just being co-stars.
