South Indian actress Sai Pallavi, known for her versatile roles, is currently working on one of Bollywood’s grandest projects, ‘Ramayana’, directed by Nitesh Tiwari. In the film, Sai Pallavi portrays Sita, while Ranbir Kapoor plays Lord Rama. However, recent false reports about her involvement in the movie have prompted Sai Pallavi to take a stand, signaling that she will now respond to such baseless rumors through legal action.
The controversy stems from a report by the Tamil media outlet ‘Cinema Vikatan’, which claimed that Sai Pallavi had completely given up non-vegetarian food for her role in Ramayana. It further alleged that she hires a private chef to travel with her abroad to prepare meals.
Sai Pallavi’s Response:
“I often choose to remain silent when I see baseless rumors or inaccurate statements, whether intentional or not. But now, I believe it is time to respond. These things are happening repeatedly, especially around significant moments in my career, such as movie announcements or releases.
From now on, if any ‘prominent’ page, media outlet, or individual spreads such stories under the guise of news or gossip, I will address them legally,” Sai Pallavi said in a statement shared on social media, along with a screenshot of the Cinema Vikatan article.
About ‘Ramayana’:
The upcoming Ramayana is touted as one of Bollywood’s most ambitious projects, reportedly made with a budget of ₹700 crore. The film features a star-studded cast, including Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Rakul Preet Singh as Surpanakha, and Bobby Deol possibly playing Kumbhakarna. The film is expected to be released in three parts, with the first installment slated for 2025.
Sai Pallavi’s response has been widely appreciated by her fans, who support her decision to address misinformation with legal action.
