Aristo Suresh, who gained widespread recognition with his role in Action Hero Biju starring Nivin Pauly, has been a notable actor in several films. He also appeared in Bigg Boss. However, his film journey has not been as glamorous as it might appear. Suresh recently opened up about the many struggles he has faced in his career during an interview on a YouTube channel.
Struggles and Disappointments in the Industry
• Suresh shared that Nivin Pauly and Abrid Shine were the ones who first encouraged him in the industry. However, after working together in Action Hero Biju, he was not considered for any future projects with them, which left him feeling upset.
• Reflecting on his time working with veteran actors like Mohanlal, Suresh shared that when he acted alongside Mohanlal in Ittimaani Made in China, he would deliver his lines quickly. However, Mohanlal would ask him to slow down. When working with Mammootty, he would often seek feedback and Mammootty would respond positively with a thumbs-up.
• After Action Hero Biju, a prominent Malayalam actor had called him, praised his work, and even suggested they should collaborate. However, despite working in many films after that, Suresh was never contacted again.
A Disheartening Experience on Set
• Suresh recounted a difficult experience while working with a senior actor in a film. During a scene, while the senior actor was seated on a chair, Suresh was sitting on the floor. When asked for his lines, Suresh provided the senior actor’s dialogues from his script. The senior actor, in front of everyone, asked, “Suresh, are you teaching me how to act?” This comment left Suresh speechless and demoralized, making him feel belittled in front of everyone on set.
Struggling with a Scene in Bengali
• Suresh shared a particularly challenging experience on the set of Bengali, a film directed by Joby Vayalunkal. In the film, his character, a Bengali man, is served food on the floor by the cashier in a hotel. He had to eat the food directly from the floor. After the art department cleaned the floor, an hour later, the scene was shot, during which the area was trampled by people walking through it. When Suresh asked the director to clean the floor again, he was told that the art department was unavailable. As a result, he had to eat the food from the floor for the scene. In Bengali, directed by Joby Vayalunkal, Aristo Suresh plays the lead role for the first time. The film also stars Kollam Thulasi, Boban Alamoodan, and others.
