Renowned actress Parvathy Thiruvoth, celebrated for her stellar performances and bold opinions, has shared personal reflections about her thoughts on motherhood and relationships. Known for her activism in the Malayalam film industry and her association with the Women in Cinema Collective (WCC), Parvathy has often voiced her stance on significant issues, from gender equality to workplace ethics.
In a recent interview, Parvathy revealed her childhood dream of becoming a mother and how her perspective has evolved over time. “When I was a child, I wanted to be a mother. At the age of seven, I had already decided what my daughter’s name would be. By the time I was 27, I thought adoption might be the way, as nothing seemed to align perfectly otherwise. I even tattooed my daughter’s name on my body,” she shared.
However, she added that her feelings have shifted. “Today, due to various reasons—like environmental concerns and evolving political thoughts—I am no longer certain about becoming a mother. Perhaps if I have a partner someday, my perspective might change, but for now, it’s an uncertain possibility.”
Parvathy also touched on her parents’ enduring concern for her well-being. “Regardless of how old I get, their primary worry will always be whether I am safe and happy. That’s the only assurance I give them. I cannot promise them marriage or a specific place to settle down, but I can promise to ensure my safety and happiness.”
On Relationships and Companionship
Parvathy further elaborated on her views about relationships, emphasizing how individual needs and expectations vary. “Not everyone seeks the same thing in a relationship. For me, companionship is what matters, but others may prioritize financial security, conversations, or having children. It’s important not to judge another person’s choices or desires in a relationship,” she said.
Her candid remarks have sparked widespread discussion on social media, with fans and followers admiring her honesty and ability to challenge societal norms. This introspection into motherhood and relationships offers a deeper glimpse into the actress’s personal life, making her words relatable to many.
Meanwhile, Parvathy continues to captivate audiences with her strong performances. After films like Thangalaan and Ullozhukku, her next project, Her, is set for an OTT release, keeping her firmly in the spotlight.
