Vijay Deverakonda and Dulquer Salmaan’s friendship has become a talking point among fans as they eagerly await Dulquer’s upcoming film, Lucky Bhaskar. Releasing on October 31 as a Diwali treat, Lucky Bhaskar has generated significant anticipation. At the film’s pre-release event, Vijay Deverakonda, a close friend of Dulquer, shared heartfelt words of praise, and Dulquer’s response delighted fans.
Vijay revealed that even before they knew each other, he was a fan of Dulquer’s films, often finding ways to watch them on torrent sites. “I first met Dulquer on the sets of Mahanati. Our friendship grew from there, and I even visited him on the Sita Ramam set,” he shared. Vijay expressed his disappointment that, despite acting together in Mahanati and Kalki 2898 AD, they still haven’t shared a scene on screen.
In response, Dulquer affectionately called Vijay his “lucky charm” and spoke warmly about their friendship. Telugu director Trivikram Srinivas also praised Dulquer at the event, saying, “It’s no small feat to carve your own path when you come from a legendary background like Mammootty’s. Yet Dulquer has swiftly made a name for himself as an actor of the new era.”
Fans are excited to see how Lucky Bhaskar will fare. Dulquer’s last film, King of Kotha, didn’t perform as expected, with negative social media comments affecting its box office collections. Lucky Bhaskar, set in 1980s-90s Mumbai, follows the life of a bank cashier navigating the city’s economic challenges during that time. Starring Meenakshi Chaudhary as the female lead, the film will release in Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, and Hindi. With its songs and teasers already trending on social media, fans are looking forward to seeing Dulquer back on the big screen after a long wait.
