Despite receiving initial criticism Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun, has smashed box office records. Reports reveal that the film has crossed a global collection of ₹1190 crores in just 10 days, making it the fastest Indian film to achieve this milestone.
Previously, Baahubali 2 held this record by crossing ₹1000 crores in 11 days. However, Pushpa 2 achieved this feat in a mere 6 days, solidifying its position as a blockbuster. Directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film stars Allu Arjun as Pushpa Raj, Rashmika Mandanna as Srivalli, and Fahadh Faasil as Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat.
The return of Pushpa Raj, the role that earned Allu Arjun the National Award for Best Actor, has been celebrated worldwide. Rashmika’s Srivalli continues to win hearts, while Fahadh’s portrayal of the intense police officer adds depth to the story.
As Pushpa 2 dominates the box office, fans are eagerly awaiting its OTT release. According to reports, Netflix has acquired the digital rights to the film and plans to release it in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. The OTT release is expected 6-8 weeks after the theatrical run.

Chithram was released during a Christmas weekend on 23 December 1988. The film was a phenomenal success at the Kerala box-office, it broke all existing records in Malayalam cinema until then.[1] It had a theatrical run of more than 366 days in Ernakulam Little Shenoys, with regular shows, and theatrical run of 300 days in Thiruvananthapuram Ajantha and more than 200 days in Kottayam Asha, Palakkad Priya, Chengalai Chithra with noon shows. It is one of the highest-grossing films in Malayalam film history.[2] It collected more than ₹3 crore from theatres
