Keerthy Suresh is one of the highest-paid actresses in South Indian cinema. Though a Malayali, her fame, like Nayanthara and Asin, rose after her successful ventures in Tamil and Telugu industries. Recently, discussions about her marriage dominated social media. Keerthy had kept her love life and wedding plans private, but now she has openly shared her story.
Keerthy revealed in an interview that she married Antony Thattill after 15 years of being in love. Their relationship began when she was in higher secondary school. She said they met through Orkut and started chatting.
“After a month of chatting, we met for the first time at a restaurant in Kochi. My family was with me, so I couldn’t talk to him much. But as I was leaving, I winked at him. A few months later, I told Antony to propose to me if he had the courage. On New Year’s that year, he proposed, and I said yes,” Keerthy shared.
Antony proposed in 2010, and by 2016, their relationship had grown stronger. Keerthy recalled, “I was in higher secondary when I started dating. Antony is seven years older than me. At the time, he was working in Qatar. We were in a long-distance relationship for about six years. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we finally started living together.”
Keerthy’s life often makes headlines on social media. Many rumors about her wedding linked her with actors and wealthy businessmen, but her parents, actress Menaka and producer Suresh Kumar, dismissed those as baseless.
Keerthy Suresh, the youngest daughter of producer G. Suresh Kumar and actress Menaka Suresh, debuted as a lead actress in the Malayalam film Geethanjali. Her move to Tamil cinema brought her bigger opportunities. She won the National Film Award for Best Actress for her performance in the Telugu film Mahanati. Her latest movie, Baby John, also marks her Bollywood debut.
