However, the truth behind the incident was revealed by the actor himself during an appearance on the show Unstoppable with NBK, hosted by Nandamuri Balakrishna.
The incident occurred in 2017 during the shooting of Na Peru Surya in Goa. Allu Arjun clarified that he went to the wine shop for his close friend, Sandeep Ramineneni, who had asked for a specific brand of alcohol. However, the name of the brand was forgotten by the person who initially went to buy it, so Allu Arjun stepped in and went to get it himself. He emphasized that he wasn’t there as a movie star, but simply as a friend.
Allu Arjun also shared that Sandeep is a huge fan of Nandamuri Balakrishna, and joked that if everyone had a friend like Sandeep, there would be many more viral news stories like this one. He also introduced Sandeep to the audience during the same episode.
