Actress and presenter Ranjini Haridas often criticized for her mix of Malayalam and English in conversations and her fashion choices, has always been a polarizing figure. Despite the criticism, she enjoys a significant fan following. Recently, Ranjini shared her thoughts about her close friend Janmoni’s busy schedule and social media presence.
Ranjini and Janmoni share a strong bond, evident from their frequent collaborations both before and after Janmoni’s stint in Bigg Boss. However, Ranjini humorously complained in a recent social media video about how Janmoni has no time for anything else due to her “half-naked photoshoots.”
In the video, Ranjini is seen getting her makeup done by Janmoni. She comments, “Janmoni is incredibly busy these days. She barely has time for makeup; all she does now is collaborate with others. Wherever you look, it’s just Janmoni and her new boyfriend working on collaborations.”
While expressing happiness for Janmoni’s success, Ranjini couldn’t resist jokingly asking, “But why were you half-naked during one of these collaboration shoots? I couldn’t handle it when I first saw it. Then I thought, let it be. But two days ago, I saw something even more shocking—everything was out there!”
Janmoni responded that it was accidental, but Ranjini disagreed, saying, “You can’t call that accidental. It was clearly for hitting one million followers. But it’s terrible! When you’re with me, you’ll show up in a saree with a bindi. But in front of the world, it’s a completely different story.”
Ranjini also referred to the Bigg Boss house, recalling how even host Mohanlal mispronounced certain English words. She joked about this during a chat show with Janmoni, where she corrected her on the word “favoritism.” Janmoni had used “favorism,” prompting Ranjini to interject, “What is this ‘favorism’? That’s not even a word in the dictionary. Even Lalettan says ‘favorism,’ but it’s not right. The correct term is ‘favoritism.’”
Ranjini’s humorous take on her friend Janmoni’s evolving public persona and her sharp observations about language continue to entertain and engage audiences.
