Mother Suchitra’s Words About Pranav Mohanlal Go Viral

Fans treat the leading actors and actresses of Malayalam cinema like members of their own family. The same goes for their children, who also receive immense love from fans. Among them, Pranav Mohanlal holds a special place in the hearts of many. Having entered cinema as a child artist, Pranav even won the Kerala State Award for Best Child Actor. In 2018, he made his debut as a lead actor with the film Aadhi.

However, Pranav has acted in only a handful of movies. His performances in Marakkar: Arabikkadalinte Simham and Hridayam were widely appreciated by audiences and critics alike. While his father, Mohanlal, is deeply passionate about cinema, Pranav is more inclined toward traveling. His lifestyle stands out as vastly different from the typical glamour associated with stardom.

Unlike other star kids like Dulquer Salmaan and Fahadh Faasil, Pranav is not very active in either the film industry or on social media. Early in his career, many compared his acting to that of his father, Mohanlal. Now, Suchitra Mohanlal, Pranav’s mother, has said that Pranav does not reflect even a small fraction of Mohanlal’s acting skills. She also stated that she has never wished for Pranav to act in any of Mohanlal’s roles.

“I’ve never felt that Pranav should act in any of Chettan’s [Mohanlal’s] films because he is just starting out. People will naturally compare him. He is not even a small fraction of Chettan. So when people say Pranav should act in one of Chettan’s films, trolls are bound to come. Then they’ll say it was my wish for him to do so. But I have no such wish,” said Suchitra.

“Many people, including his cousins, often tell me that Pranav listens only to what I say, but I don’t think that’s entirely true. He has his own ideas. He is not arrogant, but he follows what he firmly believes to be right. Pranav was last seen in the film Varshangalkkappuram and has not publicly announced his next project yet. He listens to a few scripts every year, but right now, he’s focused on things outside of cinema,” Suchitra added.

Despite being the son of a superstar, Pranav’s lack of arrogance has won him many admirers. Fans eagerly await updates on his life and future projects.
