One of the most common challenges young actresses face on film sets is the lack of proper toilet facilities. Actress Swasika had previously revealed that some top actresses refuse to cooperate when caravans are shared. Many budding actresses have spoken about such behavior from senior stars. However, Pauly Valsa has a different perspective.
In an interview with The Indian Express, Pauly Valsa shared her experience from the movie Adam Joan, stating she has never faced such issues. She explained, “I’m confident in my work and I don’t believe in unnecessary demands. While I’m not someone who insists on having a caravan, if it’s available and I need it, I will use it without hesitation.”
Recalling her time on the sets of Adam Joan, she said:
“I had just one dialogue in the movie, and the shoot was at a church in Pattumala. The place was packed with junior artists because of a grand wedding scene being filmed. At one point, I really needed to use the washroom but had no idea where to go. That’s when I noticed a caravan parked nearby. Without overthinking, I went and knocked on the door.”
Inside the caravan were Bhavana and two makeup artists. Bhavana asked what she needed, and when Paulie explained, Bhavana immediately allowed her to use the facilities. “No one got upset or made an issue. Bhavana didn’t even pay much attention. Before leaving, I even had a short chat with her,” Paulie added.
Paulie also shared a similar experience from a recent shoot in Ooty, where the team had no option but to use caravans due to the remote shooting location. She emphasized the importance of maintaining some restrictions when providing facilities for junior artists, as their usage may sometimes need oversight.
“It’s not fair to blame the film crew entirely. Some situations demand control over the use of shared spaces, and it’s all part of the industry,” Paulie explained.
Her candid remarks have sparked discussions on social media, with many praising her grounded attitude.
