Tovino Praises Unni Mukundan’s Film

Under the banner of Cubes Entertainments, Marco is a film starring Unni Mukundan, written and directed by Haneef Adeni and produced by Shareef Muhammad. Released in theaters on December 20 as a Christmas release, the movie is continuing its successful run. The film has already become one of the biggest hits of Unni Mukundan’s career.

Actor Tovino Thomas’s recent comments about the movie’s success have garnered attention. He said the film succeeded not because of its violence but due to the excellent work by the cast and crew.

Tovino shared his thoughts during a press conference held after the release of his film Identity. He stated:
“Marco is a good film. Technically and performance-wise, the violence in the movie felt believable. I believe the movie’s success lies in its quality as a cinematic work, not just in its violent elements. Nothing we see in a movie actually happens—it’s all make-believe. They succeeded in creating that make-believe so effectively, which is why the movie is being celebrated. Any emotion, if conveyed convincingly, will lead to success.”

The action sequences in the movie, which emphasize high-impact action, were choreographed by renowned action director Kalai Kingsley, who designed seven fight sequences for the film. The songs composed by Ravi Basrur also gained considerable attention, with the music rights being acquired by Sony Music.

Alongside Unni Mukundan, the film features Siddique, Jagadish, Anson Paul, Kabir Duhan Singh, Abhimanyu Thilak, Yukti Thareja, and several newcomers. Many significant roles in the film are portrayed by Bollywood actors. With the label of being one of Malayalam cinema’s most massive and violent films, Marco is the debut production venture of Cubes Entertainments.
