Reflecting on her decision, Vani revealed that her family was the primary reason for stepping away from her flourishing acting career.
Why She Took a Break
Responding to questions about her absence from the silver screen, Vani said:
“It wasn’t just a break from cinema; it was about prioritizing my family. I wanted to be with them when they needed me the most. My children’s childhood was precious, and I didn’t want to miss out on giving them my love, care, and attention during that phase. You can always return to cinema, but you can never relive your children’s formative years.”
Vani shared that her break wasn’t about ending her career but about pausing it for her children. She believed that taking care of them during their growing years was irreplaceable, a choice she does not regret.
The Reason for Her Comeback
Interestingly, Vani revealed that her return to acting was inspired by her children. She said:
“My daughter Arch is studying medicine in Poland, and my son Adri is in Chennai, pursuing his higher secondary education. As they grew older, one of their first questions was why I wasn’t acting anymore. They insisted that I return to cinema. Initially, I hesitated, but their encouragement changed my perspective. Now that they’re grown up, I feel it’s the right time to revisit my passion. The happiest about my return are my children.”
Her Fitness and Lifestyle Secret
Even during her break, Vani stayed active. She attributed her youthful energy and appearance to regular workouts and an active lifestyle. She said:
“I never stopped working out, even when I was not acting. I also stayed engaged with household chores, from cleaning to cooking. I enjoy cleaning the house and often put on music and dance while doing it. Even during visits to the fish and vegetable markets, I made sure to remain active. It’s this energy that has kept me going.”
