Parvathy Thiruvothu, one of the finest actresses in Malayalam cinema, is known for being bold and beautiful. Her candid personality, unique hairstyles, and unconventional outfits often catch the attention of fans on social media. Recently, at the Bangalore Literature Festival, Parvathy spoke about why she experiments with different looks.
“I love trying different hairstyles. It helps me step out of the characters I play. Additionally, these changes allow me to escape the overwhelming aspects of fame,” Parvathy said.
She added that being an actor has personally helped her grow through the diverse characters she portrays. Parvathy expressed her preference for roles that challenge her creatively and her desire to move beyond stereotypical roles, even though such opportunities are rare.
Her latest film, Her, recently released on a streaming platform. Directed by Lijin Jose, the film revolves around the lives of five women and features Parvathy, Urvashi, Aishwarya Rajesh, Ramya Nambeeshan, and Lijomol Jose in key roles. Other notable releases from Parvathy this year include Ullozhukku and Thangalaan.
On a lighter note, Parvathy also went viral recently after sharing pictures of her beloved dog on social media. Introducing her pet as Dobby Thiruvothu, my dogson, she shared adorable photos to celebrate Dobby’s fourth birthday. One image humorously included a scan edited to show how Dobby might have looked in the womb. Parvathy affectionately called him the “keeper of my heart.”
