Actress Keerthy Suresh has often found herself at the center of rumors regarding her marriage. Speculations, including links with co-stars, frequently make headlines. Recently, social media is once again abuzz with news about her marriage, prompting Keerthy to clarify her stance on love and relationships.
In a recent interview, Keerthy stated, “I never said I’m single. I view a relationship as a bond between two good friends who deeply understand each other.” She also acknowledged being one of the most trolled National Award winners in India, humorously adding, “There must be a reason for those trolls.”
Keerthy elaborated on societal expectations, particularly regarding marriage, sharing, “Raghuthatha, my upcoming film, will resonate with every girl. It highlights how girls, upon reaching a certain age, are often asked about marriage. Society assumes marriage is the next step once a girl reaches a particular age.”
Talking about her own experiences, she said, “When asked about my marriage, I’ve noticed that half the people asking are themselves unmarried. No one thinks beyond that question. I usually deflect the question with vague answers like, ‘Maybe next year.’”
She reiterated her belief in meaningful relationships and emphasized that she is happy both personally and professionally.
Addressing online trolling, Keerthy remarked that constructive criticism is welcome, as it helps her improve, but she ignores trolls aimed solely at causing personal hurt. “I focus on the good and disregard negativity,” she concluded.
