Unni Mukundan’s latest film Marco, produced under the banner of Cubes Entertainments by Shareef Muhammad and directed by Hanif Adeni, has entered the prestigious 100-crore club. The film, touted as the most violent Malayalam movie to date, has set a new benchmark in the industry. By the end of its third week, Marco achieved a worldwide collection of ₹100 crore, marking Unni Mukundan’s first solo 100-crore box office success.
Released as a Christmas special on December 20, Marco received a phenomenal response from its opening show. The film has performed exceptionally well not only in Kerala but also in Bollywood circuits. Social media is abuzz with discussions about the movie, and the announcement of Marco 2, featuring Unni Mukundan and Vikram together, has further heightened excitement among fans. As the film enters its third week, it continues its strong theatrical run, drawing packed audiences across all languages. Starting with just 89 screens, the movie’s reach has now expanded to over 1,500 screens globally.
Marco is also receiving an overwhelming response in Tamil Nadu and has achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first South Indian movie to release in South Korea after Baahubali. The Korean release, scheduled for April, will take place across 100 theaters, showcasing the film’s global appeal.The film features a stellar cast, including Jagadish, Anson Paul, Kabir Duhan Singh, Siddique, Abhimanyu Thilakan, Mathew Varghese, and Arjun Nandakumar. Notably, Marco is Unni Mukundan’s second film to enter the 100-crore club, following the success of Malikappuram in 2022.

The film was a phenomenal success at the Kerala box-office, it broke all existing records in Malayalam cinema until then.[1] It had a theatrical run of more than 366 days in Ernakulam Little Shenoys, with regular shows, and theatrical run of 300 days in Thiruvananthapuram Ajantha and more than 200 days in Kottayam Asha, Palakkad Priya, Chengalai Chithra with noon shows.
