Akhil Marar Overjoyed to Meet Mammootty

Akhil Marar, who once admired Mammootty from afar, shared his happiness at finally meeting the legendary actor in person. Akhil is set to be part of an ambitious film featuring Mammootty, Mohanlal, Kunchacko Boban, Fahadh Faasil, and Nayanthara. In an Instagram post, Akhil expressed his excitement, revealing how Mammootty warmly asked him, “When did you arrive?” upon meeting him.

“During the shoot of the movie August 15, I joined the director’s team to offer minor assistance. But my main goal was to see Mammukka in person. Back then, I could only see him from a distance. Later, while working on my own movie, I was fortunate to meet him up close and receive his blessings. However, my recent visit to his room was one of the best moments of my life.”

Akhil continued, “It’s an honor to be part of a film that could become one of the greatest in Malayalam cinema history. This project, which brings together Mammukka, Lalettan, Fahadh, Nayanthara, and Chackochan, has a budget exceeding 100 crores and is being shot in multiple countries. My elder brother, Subhash Manuel, is a major producer of this film. I was present during the first meeting in Mumbai and encouraged Subhashettan to make this dream come true. Now, it’s all happening. Though I was working on another project during the Sri Lanka schedule, the recent experience was unforgettable.”

“When Subhashettan, Basil, and I visited Mammukka’s room, he immediately recognized me and asked, ‘When did you arrive, Akhil?’ That simple question filled my heart with joy. We sat and spoke for over half an hour. Mammukka also mentioned he had listened to me speaking at Valyettan’s promotion event and watched many of my videos. That acknowledgment gave me immense happiness.”

Akhil fondly referred to Mammootty as a “textbook for future generations,” praising his ability to adapt to changing times and set benchmarks. He added, “Mammukka is a magician who defies age with determination and effort, creating wonders. He is the pride of Malayalees and a private inspiration. So much love for Mammukka!”
