Malayalam actress Nayanthara, who rarely takes up projects in Malayalam cinema, was last seen in Gold, directed by Alphonse Puthren and starring Prithviraj. Though the film received mixed reviews, it performed well at the box office. Fans are eagerly awaiting her next Malayalam film, Dear Students, in which she reunites with Nivin Pauly.
In a recent discussion, Dhyan Sreenivasan, who directed Nayanthara in Love Action Drama (2019), shared a humorous anecdote about working with the superstar. Dhyan reflected on Nayanthara’s packed schedule during the shoot, juggling multiple high-profile projects such as Viswasam, Darbar, and Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. “She was constantly receiving calls and handling various commitments. She’d often arrive on set visibly stressed.”
To lighten the mood, Dhyan found an unusual way to engage with her. “Amidst her tension, I’d casually compliment her, saying something like, ‘Where did you color your hair? It looks amazing.’ She’d respond, ‘Oh, I did it in California.’ It felt like talking to a child and calming them down. That’s how I managed to break the ice and ease her stress.”
Dhyan humorously added, “I was the master of such ‘soaping’ on the set!”Love Action Drama, starring Nivin Pauly and Nayanthara, was a light-hearted romantic comedy that marked Dhyan’s directorial debut. Despite Nayanthara’s busy schedule, her professionalism and dedication stood out during the making of the film, according to Dhyan.
