Dhyan Sreenivasan reveals why he jokingly called the second half of “Aavesham” “lagging”

Dhyan Sreenivasan, known for his candid remarks and vibrant persona, has recently stirred some discussion after commenting on the second half of the film Aavesham during a chat show. The film, which was released as a Vishu-Ramzan offering, received positive reactions from the audience. However, Dhyan’s comment about the second half of the film being “lagging” caught attention and sparked a debate on social media.

In a special chat show by the Amma organization, Dhyan, along with co-stars Fahadh Faasil and Babu Raj, discussed Aavesham and their experiences working on the film. Dhyan revealed that although he initially understood that Aavesham had all the right ingredients for commercial success, the movie did follow a predictable formula. He mentioned that he realized that some of the film’s promotions might have been more hype than substance, particularly due to the absence of key actors like Pranav Mohanlal and Kalyani Priyadarshan during promotional events. This led him to jokingly refer to the second half of Aavesham as “lagging.”

Dhyan clarified that his comment was made in a light-hearted manner, acknowledging the film’s commercial appeal while also recognizing its tendency to follow conventional patterns. He added that while his review wasn’t meant to be taken seriously, his playful remarks had caused a stir. “No one took my review seriously, but that doesn’t stop people from talking about it,” Dhyan said, emphasizing that his words were just a humorous take and not a serious critique.

In addition to his involvement in Aavesham, Dhyan is also set to star in the upcoming film ID, written and directed by debutant Arun Shivavilasam. The film, produced by Esssa Entertainments, also features Divya Pillai, Indrans, and Shalu Rahim in key roles. The first song from the film has already been released and has generated significant buzz on social media.

Overall, Dhyan’s playful take on Aavesham has been embraced by fans, who appreciate his honesty and wit, and his comments continue to fuel discussions about the film’s pacing and reception.
