Adarsh, a research student, has shared further explanations in the controversy where he was allegedly threatened over the phone after criticizing the movie Pani. Akhil Marar’s main criticism of Adarsh is that he was a former KPCC War Room member who had previously worked in a media channel, praised the movie Churuli, and advised against showing Malikappuram to children. Responding to these criticisms, Adarsh stated, “I don’t mind having a thousand enemies, but if I had a friend like Akhil Marar, Joju would indeed need to drink a lot of water.”
Adarsh explained that he is aware there’s nothing wrong with what he wrote, and he has been trying to end the issue for days. “Whenever Joju seems to bring the issue to a close, Akhil Marar brings up new accusations, creating fresh controversies,” Adarsh said. He added, “To understand the level of a leader, you just need to look at the people around them. I can handle a thousand enemies, but with a friend like Akhil Marar, Joju would end up drinking a lot of water.”
Adarsh believes that Akhil is unwilling to let the issue rest. He said, “I’ve tried to stop it by making my point and responding to accusations, but whenever people like Akhil Marar bring up new allegations, I feel compelled to defend myself again. I don’t have time to keep chasing this matter.”
Meanwhile, Akhil Marar has received backlash on social media for supporting Joju George, with many criticizing Akhil harshly in the comments. Commenter Sneha Maria suggested, “Don’t waste your value just to defend Joju. Everyone heard the audio clip.” She sarcastically added, “Once words are spoken and stones are thrown, they can’t be taken back.” Shijo George noted that even if Adarsh didn’t recognize Joju’s arrogance on the phone, the public did. It appears the controversy is far from over, and only time will tell what comes next.
