The buzz started when Meenakshi wished her friend and singer Kaushik a happy birthday through a social media post. The post, featuring photos of the two, sparked rumors that Kaushik was Meenakshi’s boyfriend and that they were in a relationship. The speculations grew to such an extent that her father, Anoop, stepped in to clarify.
Speaking to Manorama Online, Anoop stated:
“Seeing the rumors about Meenutty and Kaushik on social media makes me laugh. Our families share a close bond, and Kaushik is a good boy. His family often visits our home, and his elder brother also shares a friendly relationship with us. Kaushik and Meenutty are good friends, and there’s nothing more to it.”
The rumors were fueled by Meenakshi’s Instagram posts, which included pictures of her traveling on the metro, dining, and shopping with Kaushik. Her birthday post for him also caught attention, as she wrote:
“Happy birthday to my most favorite and lifelong headache, Kaushik! You’re the only problem I willingly want in my life. I’m so happy to stand by your side today and every day. Lots of love to you, Ittchuduv.”
Earlier, Kaushik had also posted heartfelt wishes for Meenakshi’s birthday, calling her Pappumma. He had written:
“No matter how much we argue, you’re the one person who always stands by me. I can’t even count how many times we’ve fought, but the love I have for you is unshakable. Even death can’t separate our souls.”
These affectionate messages led to speculation that the duo might be dating. However, Meenutty’s father has put these rumors to rest, firmly stating that their relationship is purely platonic.
With Anoop’s clarification, fans can now move past the gossip and continue to support Meenutty in her personal and professional endeavors.
