One of this year’s big hits in Telugu cinema was Hanuman, the debut film in director Prasanth Varma’s cinematic universe. Now, the exciting announcement of the sequel, titled Jai Hanuman, has fans eagerly anticipating its release. This time, the celebrated Kannada actor Rishab Shetty will take on the lead role. The first-look poster, featuring Rishab holding an idol of Lord Ram, has captured considerable attention.
The original Hanuman starred Teja Sajja in the lead role, but Rishab Shetty steps into the iconic role of Hanuman for this second installment, which promises an even larger budget. Renowned production house Mythri Movie Makers, known for hits like Pushpa, Janatha Garage, and Rangasthalam, is producing the film. Sharing the first-look poster, Prasanth Varma expressed pride in working with National Award-winning actor Rishab Shetty.
With Hanuman grossing over 350 crores at the box office from its initial 40 crore budget, expectations are high for Jai Hanuman. Prasanth Varma has also planned several other movies within his cinematic universe, including Adheera and Mahakali. Notably, Mahakali is set to introduce the first female superhero in this cinematic universe, and Nandamuri Mokshagna will make his debut in another upcoming project within this universe
