Sivakarthikeyan, one of Tamil cinema’s rising stars, recently shared a humorous behind-the-scenes story from the set of his 2016 romantic comedy Remo, where he portrayed a female nurse. Despite Tamil cinema having seen many actors take on female disguises, Sivakarthikeyan’s “Remo Sister” look received significant praise.
One of the film’s shooting locations was Vizag. To keep his female look under wraps, the team chose a relatively secluded spot. Sivakarthikeyan, dressed in the nurse getup, wandered around freely since nobody recognized him. Curious onlookers began asking who the “new heroine” was. During a chase scene with comedian Yogi Babu filmed in a local market, people were intrigued, repeatedly asking about his identity.
In response, Sivakarthikeyan and the crew jokingly told the curious crowd that he was Anushka Shetty’s sister. With a similar height, the local spectators actually believed this story for most of the day. However, once people started noticing his movements off-camera, their suspicions grew, and eventually, they realized he was a male actor in disguise.
This amusing anecdote has since delighted fans, giving them another reason to appreciate Sivakarthikeyan’s dedication and humor.
