Trisha, who has now completed 22 years in the film industry, is set to reunite with Suriya for the upcoming movie Suriya 45. Directed by RJ Balaji, the film has already garnered significant expectations, especially as Suriya looks to overcome a challenging phase in his career.
The reunion of this beloved on-screen pair, 20 years after their last major collaboration, adds a unique charm to the project. Trisha and Suriya have previously worked together in films like Mounam Pesiyadhe (2002), Aaru (2005), and Ayutha Ezhuthu (2004), the latter being their last appearance as lead actors. Suriya also made a cameo in Trisha’s 2010 film Manmadhan Ambu.
In Suriya 45, Suriya reportedly plays a lawyer, with the film being produced by Dream Warrior Pictures and music composed by AR Rahman. Shooting has commenced in Coimbatore, marking another collaboration between Suriya and Rahman, who previously worked together on films like Sillunu Oru Kaadhal, Ayutha Ezhuthu, and 24.
While Suriya’s last release Kanguva garnered attention, Trisha has an impressive lineup of films, including Vidamuyarchi, Good Bad Ugly, Vishwambhar, Thug Life, and Identity.

Meanwhile, media speculation about Trisha and Vijay’s friendship has been reignited. Both were recently spotted attending actress Keerthy Suresh and Antony Thekkek’s wedding in Goa. A video of them arriving together at the airport and later leaving in the same car has gone viral on social media, fueling rumors. Vijay wore a blue shirt, while Trisha opted for a white t-shirt, sparking excitement among fans.
