Vikram, starring Kamal Haasan in the lead role, received widespread acclaim from audiences. However, one character that viewers found unforgettable was “Rolex,” played by Suriya. His transformation into Rolex, along with his dialogue delivery, became a major topic of discussion. Recently, Lokesh Kanagaraj hinted at a standalone movie centered around the character of Rolex.

When asked if the movie would show any positive traits of Rolex, Suriya responded by clarifying that Rolex is purely a negative character. He added that if the character showed kindness, fans might start admiring him, which Lokesh would likely avoid. Suriya expressed these views during a press conference related to the promotion of his new movie Kanguva.

“The standalone Rolex film will definitely highlight his villainy. I don’t think Lokesh will ever depict any positive aspects of the character,” Suriya explained. “Rolex is not meant to be a likable character in any way. His actions cannot be justified, and doing so would be an injustice to both the character and society. Showing him in a sympathetic light could lead fans to idolize him, which is dangerous given the current state of society,” Suriya remarked.

In the same interview, Suriya also mentioned that Rolex might make an appearance in the second part of Kaithi, which stars Karthi. Kanguva, directed by Siva, is Suriya’s upcoming film and is set for release on November 14.

Kanguva is a highly anticipated epic film expected to redefine Kollywood. Each update about the film has generated excitement among fans. Already, it is set to be the biggest release in Tamil cinema history, screening across over 10,000 screens worldwide, including around 700 screens in Tamil Nadu alone.

Fans eagerly await both Kanguva and the return of Rolex, filled with high expectations.
