Though no longer active in Malayalam cinema, Samvrutha Sunil remains a beloved actress among film enthusiasts. Known for her roles as both a lead and supporting actress, Samvrutha stepped back from acting following her marriage, appearing only in a single film since then. Now a mother of two, she divides her time between the United States and Kerala, occasionally participating in TV shows.
Despite her break from acting, Samvrutha maintains an active presence on social media, sharing updates and family moments with her fans on Instagram. Throughout her career, she has been selective about her roles, avoiding glamorous or non-traditional characters, a decision grounded in personal conviction.
In a resurfaced interview from a few years ago, Samvrutha explained why she chose not to take on glamorous roles, even if offered a crore rupees. She acknowledged that such a stance may have cost her opportunities, fame, and financial gain, but emphasized that her happiness and peace of mind outweigh any losses. For her, a glamorous role was never an option, even if it meant missing out on the limelight or a chance to become a superstar.
She expressed a desire for her children to feel proud, not embarrassed, when they see her movies on TV. Samvrutha’s family members are proud of her career, and they get excited whenever something about her is on television, she said. This respect and admiration from her family are important to her, more than any publicity or fame.
Regarding negative experiences in the industry, Samvrutha shared that she has never faced any, attributing her positive journey to the kinds of movies and roles she chose. She remains firm in her principles, choosing roles that resonate with her values and personal beliefs.
Fans continue to admire her for sticking to her convictions and eagerly await any updates on her future projects.
