A family song from Joju George’s movie Pani, which couldn’t be included in the film, has now been released. The song, Aakasham Thee Katchi…, is a family-oriented track that was not part of the final cut. Earlier, songs from Pani like Marannaadupulle and Pani Antham gained much attention.

The lyrics for the new song are by Anwar Ali, with vocals by Shakthisree Gopalan, and music by Sam C.S. The video depicts a wedding and the gathering of families. Pani, a family entertainer packed with action, has been released not only in Malayalam but also in , Telugu, Tamil , , Kannada and  Hindi.

Over his career of more than two and a half decades, Joju has portrayed many memorable characters. Having become an integral part of Malayalam cinema, he has now come forward with Pani as a writer and director, bringing his extensive experience to the audience. The lead actress in the film, who stars opposite Joju, is a girl who cannot speak or hear in real life.

The actress has previously acted in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam films. She returns to Malayalam cinema after a decade, proving that limitations are no barrier to dreams. The cast includes notable actors like Sagar Surya, Junaise, singer Abhaya Hiranmayi, Prashanth Alex, Sujith Shankar, and about sixty new faces.

Joju also addressed an incident where he allegedly called and threatened a reviewer who criticized Pani. He explained, “Everyone has the freedom to express their opinion. I made that call in the heat of the moment, which shouldn’t have happened. You might have heard stories that I threatened someone. It wasn’t about the review itself, but rather that opinions should be formed after watching the movie. If they like it, say they like it; if not, say that too. But when a post went viral, I reacted with a call, which I shouldn’t have done. This has now become a topic of discussion for two days. Meanwhile, serious issues like the Mullaperiyar dam risk go undiscussed. Even my children can’t open YouTube without seeing this,” said Joju George.
